The past
Barrett Harper, is a military doctor who served in the Army during the second world war. One of his duties took him to a Nazi prison camp where he met a young girl, Moria who he aided through an ailment she was facing.
Recent documents show Barrett as a member of the Air Force, an event that happened in 1947 when the Air Force was officially formed. He worked for a governmental organisation that made experiments with [[Awlyn]]] - non-human species - to find new ways of making perfect soldiers.
A secret awlyn organisation, called The Shadows of Man, fight against those experiments. Barrett finally helped the Shadows of Man, even though he endangers himself.
In 1948 two of the People that run the Awlyn experiments founded Hutchinson BioTech, a company "looking for new ways to enhance mankind for the greater good of us all."
The present
Diego is going to a school with Jan, Mary Kate, and Elissandra.
He has a sister named Isobella. She is not going to school with him but is friends with most of Diego's friends
Isobella and her friend Sarah were being attacked by a man in a park.
This man was Mikey Surry, a private investigator, specialized in child protection. He was hired from some parents to find out what weaknesses of their daugther Sarah with her online social networking profiles. For some reasons Mikey mixed up the Sarahs and came accross Isobella and Sarah. During his encounter with them something stange happened and Mikey's got somehow ill, he had nightmares and hallucinations.
A message to Mikey from a mysterious character named Amun revealed a strange ritual that would cure Mikey. People helped Mikey with the ritual and it seems that he is healed. Amun communicates via encoded messages hidden in images on his Parvulus Patroni blog. Those messages could be decoded with the cipher wheel, found during ARGFest.
Amun wants Mikey to help him find and protect the Awlyn childrens. Therefore Mikey should meet an Amun agent in Austin. Because Mikey can't make it the Austin someone from us jumped in and received interesting infromation about missing childrens.
This lead to a blog of Katia and Kelsi, two missed childrens. Both have had contact to a mysterious friend from internet: NovaHelix37, which they met on the day they vanished.
Mikey set up a Google Group (link) for easier communication.
He received a strange package with a password protected flash drive.
Diego's school was found: The St. Laudine's Academy - a school for Awlyns childrens. They offer online courses and we can register too. SLA offers a huge online comunity with several organizations to join:
- Student Council: responsible for organizing online activities for other students including the challenges for the fellowships.
- Newspaper: organizing, writing and editing newspaper that will be published either bi-weekly or monthly.
- Yearbook: publishing the yearbook - electronically or hard back.
- SEAL: Students for Equality Amongst all Life - a student organisation fighting for equal rights of Awlyn - running an own website at http://seals08.wordpress.com/
The main sponsor of the schools online pages is Hutchinson BioTech, a biotech company founded by two of the Awlyn experimenters. Now it is run by the nephew of one of the founders.
School online courses begun and additional the school's Fellowship Challenges started. Soon we found that the adminstrator of the school forum is nobody else than Novak, Mikey's old friend. Novak himself is an Awlyn. After Mikey has been updated about the new developments he immediately talked with Novak.
Mikey did not choose to join the school site but it seems that he observed the school campus and took pictures. Unfortunately he was captured and hold captive by the SLA. Novak was contacted about this and he suggested to inform Amun. Even though Novak is a member of the Shadows of Men he has no direct communication with Amun. So another hidden message was posted on Mikey's blog by Novak. Amun immediately replied and wanted to take care of the situation.
Eldred Wulfheard a member of the Dragon Council arrived at SLA to interrogate Mikey. But than Eldred was found dead and Mikey has vansihed. What happened? Is Mikey or an anonymous helper a murderer?
