Student Council

The student council will be responsible for organizing online activities for other students including the challenges for the fellowships.

The fellowships will have ongoing challenges that build a strong bond for the students involved in each fellowship. The student council's responsibility will be to find ways to challenge the fellowships.

Please post your interest for the student council in the student council interest thread. We will soon be having student council elections. You will be responsible for creating a campaign to market yourself to fellow students and earn their votes for the position you are interested in.

Treasurer

The Treasurer will have the responsibility of tracking any money collected for challenges and for tracking points for each challenge to be awarded to the fellowships.

President

The President will have final say over any challenges or proposals put forth by the student council. He or she will be responsible for the actions of the student council and for being the voice of fellow students.

Vice President

The Vice President will assist the President in any decisions made. Should anything happen to the President that prevents them from being involved in the student council, the Vice President will immediately take the reigns of the student council. In this situation students will then vote for a replacement for the Vice President which could include the Activities planner and/or Treasurer.

Activities Planner

The Activities planner gathers ideas from fellow students for activities and challenges. He or she will then discuss the acitivities with the rest of the student council and begin planning to put these activities into motion.

Online Media

Online Newspaper

We will make every attempt to produce a newspaper that will be published either bi-weekly or monthly. The newspaper will be organized, written, and edited by the students. We will cover the variety of lives led by our online students from their actions with their fellowships to even getting personal and learning more about each of them.

Lead by: Professor Wesley Vanderzandt

Online Yearbook:

This will be similar to the newspaper in that it is organized, written, edited, and completely designed by our students on the yearbook staff. One of the first tasks for our yearbook staff will be to determine the best approach for publishing the yearbook - electronically or hard back. This will determine our approach to designing the yearbook. The staff will gather pictures of their fellow students, information about the organizations the students are involved in, and other media depending on our publishing medium.
