Hacker friend of Mikey Surry.
Novak's (a nickname) wife hired Surry when she suspected Novak was cheating on her, and the results of the investigation led to a divorce. Novak was actually grateful to Surry for this, and they became friends.
Novak normally takes care of Surry's webhosting needs, but the ritual has him freaked out to the extent that he refuses to help and has threatened to take down Surry's website.
