In today's society we ofter see humans standing up for the causes they believe in while our lifestyles dictate to us that we can only stand pat with the cards we have been dealt. I've been around a long time and I've seen the bad in the human heart and I've seen the good. Many of the Awlyn haven't taken the opportunity to see the potential for acceptance with human society as a whole.
There were days when the activities of a few demons brought down a fury of smite upon the small town of Salem. There have been days when an Angel would reach out and cure a sick child and the mother of the child would cry to the Angel thanking them for what they've done. Humans aren't a bad race at all and we can see today that they're more able to accept the differences amongst their own kind.
Today we have an African American human running for the President of the United States of America and his opponent has a female on the republican ticket. This is a first for their society and a step toward acceptance. They even celebrate homosexuality in some cities and while it is not commonplace for humans to accept it - the roots have been sewn.
So today we have our children, you children, working toward reminding our kind of how we too can learn acceptance. How we can learn to accept that though humans have always feared us and tried to destroy us, they are a society that is changing everyday.
I fully support the Dragon Council and the policies, but just as Jan Weepman - I often wonder what life would be like if there was no need to hide behind a mask. That is what motivates me to support SEALs with all of my heart.
I suggest the common every day approach to life when discussing the equality amongst all life. Spread the word, even spread it to humans if you like. I just recommend that we do not identify ourselves at any moment as a species of the Awlyn. That is why I suggested the name Students for Equality Amongst all Life over the initial name of Students for Awlyn Equality. This allows us to reach out to every Awlyn through an open medium such as blogs and videos without disrupting the Dragon Council's established guidelines for living amongst the humans.

Oct 6, 2008 regarding human intruder

I am concerned for the safety of our students after we caught a human intruder near campus yesterday trying to take pictures of the campus and students. We are detaining him on campus until a representative from the Dragon Council arrives tomorrow to interrogate him and determine his intentions.
Please be vigilant of those around you in the coming days, weeks, and months (more than normal). If this human was here because he knew about the Awlyn and had devious plans for the campus or the students then we cannot be sure how many more humans know about the school or our students.
Oct 09, 2008 regarding "Tragedy Today"
This morning Eldred Wulfheard visited the campus to interrogate the trespasser. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Eldred Wulfheard he is the werewolf representative to the Dragon Council. He asked for privacy with the trespasser who we identified as a Michael Surry, thirty minutes later I re-entered the room to find Eldred Wulfheard had passed on and the human was no longer on campus.
The campus has been locked down all day as we have been searching for Mr. Surry and any possible associates of his. All items of his we had confiscated are missing as well, but we do know that Mr. Surry is from the Houston area. We are asking all of our students in the Houston area to be extra vigilant for this individual. If you discover the whereabouts of Mr. Surry please report him directly to me so that I can report him to the Council. This man is wanted by the Council for the murder of a member of the Dragon Council.
We believe that if he has escaped from the campus he may have received assistance. Our campus is well guarded and heavily monitored for any intruders; there is no way a human could have escaped without some assistance. If you have any information about the events today, please report them to me. We cannot allow this human to threaten our existence further. We cannot allow the cold blooded murder of a Dragon Council representative to go unpunished.
Children, be safe through these trying times. Your parents should be familiar with the protocols for replacing a council member and grief counselors are available as needed.
