History
Long time ago the Awlyns - many different species - lived on the earth. But than humankind ascended. Humans begun to hunt and kill the Awlyns. Because Human multiplied so quickly the Awlyn diminished. The Great One acted and took the form of humans. They made deals with the human government and kings
The Awlyn took the form of humans and lived secretly among them not revealing their true nature - and the different species became one: The Alwyn. [1]
After WWII the US government used the Awlyn as research subjects, trying to understand their power and to use this to build super soldiers. [2]
The Council
The Great Ones formed a council to oversee the Awlyn. There is no democracy and the Council of the Great Ones holds dominion over the Awlyn's lives [1]. (Concil of the Great Ones = Dragon Council ?)
